Adult education is required when you are interested in making sure that your life does not fizzle away as did that of your father and your grandfather before you. Im talking to folks who did not get a chance to school when they were young because they grew up in a farm or something. To get a proper job or make their mark in life, they need that qualification. By the time you have been through high school and college, you are no longer a kid. Any more schooling you want to do has to be put down as adult education. You are not a professional because you are good at what you do, or because you have been at it for a long time; you are a pro because you have a piece of paper that says you are. And getting that piece of paper means that you have to go to school again. Just for a little bit, but trust me its worth it. A professional engineer is not just anyone, but someone who has the qualification to be referred to as such. That means they have written some examination to get a degree or certificate, or something. The reason why you dont is because you didnt study further, thinking that because you are an adult now, you dont need to be caught dead in a school. Too bad. The truth is that you can do something about improving your lot in life, if you are really willing. Many people think it is some kind of discrimination when they were meant to get a job but instead the job goes to someone else. So they begin to sulk and brood, when they should be doing something about it. Check out the other guy, find out what they have in their rsum that made them get the job, and then go get yourself something better.
